As a filmmaker, I have become so comfortable with the lengthy planning process that comes before shooting any film. My crew and I will work our hardest to create schedules and scripts, and once we are finally satisfied, we will begin production. However, this allows a lot of time to perfect all of our work. This routine can stop us from challenging our creative minds to come up with video concepts in short amounts of time.
This past summer, my friend Brandon and I decided to go against the typical production timelines and made a short film in 5 hours. This video documents our writing, shooting, and editing process. In the end, we had created a project that both of us were proud of and that motivated us to continue to challenge our creativity.
